Suite of Policies & Procedures
The following policies & procedures are designed to create & maintain a safe, organised and fair environment for the client and therapist.
Health & Safety
The safety of my clients and myself is of the utmost importance.

ALL NEW clients are required to complete a consultation card at the first appointment.

ALL clients are required to share updates to their consultation should their situation change.

Anyone below the age of 16yrs of age requires parental consent to receive any treatments offered at Tinkerbeau. A parent must attend and be present during the consultation and will need to sign this as the responsible adult.

Anyone below the age of 16yrs of age must be accompanied by an adult at every treatment.

Due to the size of the garden room I can only accommodate the client and one other person at any one time unless previously arranged (such as bridal parties). Any client who arrives with more than one person will be asked to reduce their group size. Failure to comply will result in cancelled appointments.

Clients treatments and products used will be recorded at each appointment.

I will ensure all surfaces are sprayed with antibacterial products between all appointments.

All metal tools/brushes will be soaked in disicide between clients and will be disinfected each evening using a UV machine.

Disposable tissue roll will be used to cover appropriate surfaces.

To maintain the highest level of hygiene food & drink bought from outside the salon is not permitted. I will provide a small selection of complimentary refreshments in the salon.

Chemicals will be stored in a locked cupboard and out of reach of the public.

I have undertaken Basic first aid training and this can be applied to minor injuries during your visit should this be required.

ALL tinting treatments require a skin patch test at least 24 hrs before treatment. The outcome of this may result in treatment being changed or being unable to complete the treatment. Failure to agree to a patch test will result in appointments being cancelled.
Right to refuse service
I reserve the right to refuse service in any of the circumstances below:

If the treatment puts a client at risk (evident in during consultation)

If anyone under 16yrs of age does not attend with an adult

If a client is dishonest and tries to damage the reputation of the business online or otherwise

If a client and/or their accompanying friend or adult is rude or disrespectful during treatments

If a client presents as intoxicated (alcohol or drugs) they will be asked to leave the premises
-
If a client consistently ignores salon policies

Residential area
As Tinkerbeau is based in a residential area I request that you adhere to the following:

Clients will parking with consideration to the residents in the area. Please ask if you are unsure where to park.

Clients will leave the premises calmly and respectfully, keeping noise to a minimum.
Data Protection

I will collect personal data (information requested on Client Consultation forms) to ensure the safety of clients and myself.

Personal data will not be shared with anyone else.

Personal data held can be viewed on request by the client provided photo ID can be presented.
-
Personal data will be destroyed after 6 months of clients not returning to Tinkerbeau.
Late Arrivals
In order to continue running on time and ensure there is adequate time to complete the requested service I request that you make every effort to be on time for your treatment. Please do contact me if you believe you will be late.

Clients arriving more than 15 mins late will be imposed with a £5 late fee on top of their treatment charge.

Clients arriving more than 30 mins late will forfeit their appointment and be rescheduled where possible.
Cancellations & no-shows
I do understand that there will be times that appointments need to be cancelled or rescheduled. On extremely rare occasions I may need cancel due to illness or childcare.

Please notify me at least 24hrs before your scheduled treatment if you are unable to make the appointment.

Should you need to cancel on the day, in an emergency, this must be done 3hrs before the appointment.

Clients who do not follow the above procedures, without good reason, will be imposed with an additional cancellation fee of £5 at their next appointment.

Should I need to cancel or reschedule your appointment I will do so with at least 24hrs notice. I will then reschedule for the next available time.

Clients who fail to present for their appointment without contact will be imposed with a fee of 25% of the treatment scheduled at their next appointment.
Service guarantee & refunds
Your enjoyment, satisfaction and the quality of my service is my highest priority.

If for any reason you are unsatisfied please speak to me during your treatment so I can modify to your satisfaction.

Should their be a problem with your service that comes to light after leaving Tinkerbeau - please contact me as soon as possible so I can assist in correction.

Gel polish should last 2-3 weeks if proper aftercare* is followed.
-
Acrylic extensions & overlays will need infills after 2 weeks and be redone after 4 weeks. Proper aftercare* must be followed.
-
Brow & eyelash tinting can last up to 4-6 weeks depending of clients hair and skin types.
* Proper aftercare should consist of - using cuticle oil daily, using hand cream daily, using gloves to protect nails when using cleaning products, not using nails as tools to open things and not picking at lifting edges.
